• Helping Hand Medicare Centre (HHMC) : 

Helping Hand Medicare Centre is a medical unit of  Narendrapur Helping Hand, where a number of renowned doctors are attached and serve the society with a nominal fees of Rupees Ten (10/-). This unit is dedicated for the have-nots and it is situated in Vivek Bharati School, Garia, Kolkata – 84.

It is reported that above 2000  patients have been treated and medicine of a sum of Rupees Forty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninty(48,590/-) has been distributed to the poor and distressed people here in the year 2011-2012.

v Child Health Awareness Programme (CHAP) – SANJIVANI:

SANJIVANI, a child health awareness campaign, started in the year 2004, with the aim of building a healthy student community in the locality, especially in backward society.

SANJIVANI   is dedicated to primary school students.

  • This year first camp of SANJIVANI  held on 5th June, 2011, at Hogolguria Free Primary School, where 152 students got their primary health and hygiene tips and they were screened for potential health hazards by some of renowned doctors.
  • The second camp was held on 11th December, 2011 at Dingelpontha Free Primary School, where 128 students were assessed for their primary health.

  • Children Day Celebration (CDC) :

On 14the November, 2011, NHH observed ‘The Children Day’  by organizing a cultural programme dedicated to special children at Satyajit Roy Park, Patuli.

This year the programme includes –  Individual Performance by special children.

Invited schools are – 1. Sopan , 2. Morning Glory 3. Ashutosh Institution and 4. Nobel Mission.

A total of 89 special type children participated in the programme including 24, 15, 32 & 18 from respective schools.

Dishari is situated our project area(Goran bose 1,basanti,sundarbon).Now 124 children & 4madam ,1drawing teacher ,1 asst madam & 1 supervisor  are attached . Local panchyait & Block office give us moral support  to work. Local public & guidance are directly involved to Dishari’s activity not only that a guidance(shri prabir Nayek &his brother)donate 3 biga land for Dishari building. Guidances are very much satisfied of Dishari teaching method.

 

METHOD OF EDUCATION

  • There are 4 group base on there classes. Every group have 21 children.
  • Medium of education is Bengali but  stress is given  on English also.
  •  The syllabus of Dishari is prepared following the syllabus of  West Bengal Primary  Board but considering  a child’s mental growth, power of  thinking  the syllabus of Dishari is prepared to encourage a child’s mental development.
  •  There  will  be no specific time  schedule for teaching. Students will  be taught in centre and no home work will be given to any student.
  • Everyday  previous  day’s student will  be recapitulated  first and then new chapter will be started. Students will take part in games & sports, physical exercise, drawing &  cultural  programs.
  •  After eery  two months development  of  each and  every  student will be assessed.
  •  No student will be allowed to take study-book at home.
  • Students of class-III & IV will be asked to bring  some innovative home-work in every week so that their  interest  on a  particular subject can be ascertained.
  • To prepare syllabus for the children, opinions of Child-Specialist and Psychologists are taken.
  •  Free  education is  provided  by  Dishari  to  the  students. Moreover,  free  lunch and  dresses  are  provided to the students also.

     HEALH :

  • We  are so conscious  about students  health. For this purpose  we  provide a health card, nutrition

chart &medical cheek up regularly by qualified doctors.(every2 month after)and provide medicine.

we organize  health awareness program for guidance awareness about child health.

Formation Of Self Help Group (2011-2012)

To help the women to be  self  dependent  to some  extent we help in the formation of  Self  Help Group      at our project area. Already 44 groups (464 women) are from & open bank account at SKUS Ltd. Bank (Basnti Branch).

  • Foundation Day Celebration (26th January):

To spread the health Awareness further and to be observe the  foundation day of our originisation   “Narendrapur Helping Hand ”on 26th JANUARY 2012 a free health camp was held by the renowned physicians  at the HELPING HAND MEDICARE CENTRE ,Narendrapur, Garia, were ECG, Blood Sugar, Blood group, calcium test were done 348 persons medical cheek up is done by her. 89 persons ECG,141persons sugar test,207person blood group deduction &93 persons calcium test is done in this camp.
