Secretary’s Report

Narendrapur Helping Hand is a non-governmental, non- sectarian, non-profit social development organization, formed by some socially concerned people, and working for total development of a backward area of Sunderban belt under South 24 Parganas district starting from Garia – Kamdahari area to Basanti Block of interior Sunderban.

Our Motto:-

The Organisation aspire for a society where the people will have their livelihood secured and they must live with peace, dignity, equality, equal justice, mutual trust, love and affection, mutual respect and gender equality. Some specific Vision of the Organisation are :

a) To work towards an improved quality of

life and the total integration of children.

b) Reach benefits to the people irrespective

of caste, creed, religion and race.

c) Alleviate human suffering.

Our Objects : –

Following are the basic objectives of the “Society, Which are manifested through its activities –

  • To work for sustainable development practices in the rural areas ensuring women

empowerment in all stages.

  • To provide preventive and curative health care services for the people in general and women and children in specific.
  • To Empower the rural women through Self Help Group practices and micro entrepreneurship development programs
  • To preach sympathy, fellow felling and unity among the followers of different faith so as to evolve a sense of social and religious toleration.
  • To do all social welfare activities including Education, Public Health and other development work of the locality.
  • To improve the economic, moral and social status of the people particularly the youth.
  • To assist the youth for employment opportunities through entrepreneurship development and promotion of vocational training institutions/centers for self reliance.
  • To encourage the male and female youths in various small scale industries schemes by imparting scientific training and to encourage in poultry farming, bee, honey, Jam, Jelly, Fruit Processing, Doll Making, village pottery, soap making and other works to attain self sufficiency in food ;
  • To collect Government Grants, donations and subscriptions for the purpose of the society and to procure funds, loans, grants etc.
  • To assist the poor and distressed people during the hour of need.
  • To help the members at the time of their needs, sick, helpless and financially weak condition.
  • To construct, maintain, improve, develop and alter any building, masons and other works necessary or convenient for the use of the society.
  • To do such other things as may be deemed incidental or necessary for the attainment of the foregoing objects.
  • Universal enrolment of all children including girls, using both full times  formal school and part-time non-formal arrangements with a view to reduce the dropout rates to the minimum most.

innovative children education method and reduction of book load.

  • Advocacy & mobilization for promoting education among weaker section and minority community people of the State.
  • Convergence for optimal utilization of resources for maximum impact for the benefit of the society in general and for the weaker section in particular.
  • Reduction in disparities by emphasis on girl’s education and special measures for  girls belonging to the Muslim community
